Should I get the Internet? Dear Aunt Margery, You asked me in your last letter what I use the Internet for. Well, when I have to work on a project, I first collect a lot of information from the Internet. But there is a lot of nonsense on the Web and not all of the information is accurate. I also use the Internet to keep in contact with my old school friend in New Zealand. We use Skype, so we can see each other while talking and it costs nothing. Another great advantage of the Internet is the dictionary websites. You just type in the word you need to translate and you get it the other language immediately. As you know, I am learning Chinese at school and there are some great sites for practicing Chinese. You also asked me if I thought you should get Internet at home and the answer is yes. Then we could communicate through Skype and chat more often. There are lots of other things you could do as well, for example you could buy books and DVDs on the Internet. I know you don’t have much opportunity to buy English books where you live in France. So go for it! Love, Paula
