In early March, Judy, an American girl, visited Beijing for the first time. She was especially excited when the weather forecast said it would be sunny all weeks. She visited many places and also made many friends. But the weather changed later in the week. At first, it got hotter and hotter. People couldn't believe it was early spring. Soon it started to rain, and the rain lasted for a whole day. When it cleared up again, the wind became stronger and stronger. All of a sudden, a sandstorm hit Beijing. Judy was surprised and unhappy. "Maybe I picked the wrong time of year for my visit," she thought. She stayed in the hotel for another three days without going anywhere. She emailed her family, and she told them that Beijing was a wonderful city but the weather made it impossible to do any travelling.
