I just graduated from a technical school and was eager to work in a lab. 1 my uncle Clare was a famous scientist working on the use of solar energy in an institute and I thought he could help me out. 2 , I still had to be interviewed by the Director first. I had always been scared of interviews. I would become so nervous that I might even lose my head and say something inadequate. 3 I could turn to my uncle for help. He might understand my worries. Anyway, I was 4 his favourite nephew and had always been known to be a top student. But he refused to intervene and said, “Business is business”. 5 , I was greatly disappointed. 6 I complained to my father about his brother. I was confident that he would be on my side. 7 , he didn’t see my point, either. Now, who was in the wrong, my Uncle Clare, my father, or myself? What do you think?
