In the United States, people celebrate ( 庆祝 ) Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday in November. In Canada, Thanksgiving Day is on the second Monday in October. Canada is on north of the USA, and colder than its neighbor, so the harvest ( 丰收 ) season comes earlier in Canada. The harvest brings a lot of food to people. On Thanksgiving Day, people in Canada and the USA enjoy a big meal with friends and family. They usually eat turkey, potatoes and pumpkin pie. Many also place flowers around their homes to say thanks for the harvest.
