Passage3 Questions are based on the following passage Prometheus is one of the Titans; He was very kind toward humans. At the beginning of human history, they had no fire, and they had to eat everything uncooked and live in very warm places because they had no way to keep themselves warm. Prometheus stole fire from heaven to human world. He was punished because humans were forbidden to use fire. He was bound to a rock while a great eagle ate his liver everyday only to have it grow back to be eaten again the next day. Humans were also punished because they used the fire. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship, to create Pandora, the first woman on earth. And he did, using water and earth. The gods gave her many talents; Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo music, Hermes persuasion , and so forth. Therefore, she was named as Pandora which means “all-gifted”. When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took revenge by presenting Pandora to Prometheus’ brother. Pandora had a jar which she was not to open under any circumstance. Driven by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened the box-jar, and all evil contained escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the lid, but the whole contents of the jar-had escaped, except for one thing which lay at the bottom, which was Hope.
