When I was 16 years old, I made my first visit to the United States. It wasn't the first time I had been 【C1】______ . 'Yes,' I said, 'I want to give my friend a ring.' 'Well, that's 【C11】______ 'he exclaimed. 'Are you getting 【C12】______ ? But aren't you a bit 【C13】______ ? ' 'Who is talking about marriage?' I replied. 'I 【C14】______ want to give a ring to tell her I've arrived. Can you tell me where there's a phone box? ' 'Oh!' he said, 'There is a phone downstairs.' When at last we 【C15】______ meet up, Danny 【C16】______ the misunderstanding to me. 'Don't worry,' she said to me. 'I had so many 【C17】______ at first. There are lots of words which the Americans 【C18】______ differently in meaning from 【C19】______ . You will soon get used to 【C20】______ things they say.
