How is apple juice made? Apple farmers deliver apples to the apple juice manufacturers. These apples are sorted to make sure they meet the manufacturer's high quality standards. Before pressing, the apples are taken into the plant and washed. From the washers, the apples are cut up and turned into an apple mixture. The mixture is then sent to presses that squeeze the mixture to get the apple juice out. The apple juice is then put into tanks. From the tanks, the juice is sent through filters to remove the bits of unwanted apple. The juice then goes to one of two places: Directly to the bottling line-it is filled in bottles and cooled. The apple juice is sent to another plant where much of the water is removed to make the juice thick. The resulting concentrated juice is then stored cold in steel tanks to wait to be bottled at another time
