【简答题】
B Throughout history, many women have shown the world how powerful they can be. Meet some of them here. People all over the world know Helen Keller. She was a role model for disabled people. Keller became deaf and blind when she was a baby. But she didn’t give up on life. She learned four foreign languages, including French, German, Latin and Greek. Her book, Three Days to See , tells her life story. She also gave speeches and toured the world to ask for greater rights for disabled people. As a zoologist, Jane Goodall is famous for two things. One is the way she carried out her studies. The other is what she found out about nature. Goodall didn’t do her studies in a zoo. She went to the wild forests of Africa to live together with chimpanzees( 黑猩猩 ) and watch them carefully. Jane Goodall’s findings shocked the world. Tu Youyou started her work in the 1960s. At that time, almost half of the world’s population were facing malaria( 疟疾 ). In 1971, Tu found artemisinin( 青蒿素 ) in a plant. Today, artemisinin is still the best cure for malaria. In 2015, Tu received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for her work. She was the first Chinese woman to win a Nobel Prize. Virginia Woolf was a writer. She was famous for her stream-of-consciousness( 意识流 ) writing style which is about the “flow” of thoughts and a character’s inner feelings. Woolf wrote a short novel called The Mark on the Wall .
