A new species of snake has been discovered on a remote island in the Bahamas. Scientists identified 20 of the one meter-long snakes during two trips to the Caribbean islands. The second trip was made in October last year. One of the creatures (1) by moving on to the head of the team leader as he slept. The snake has been named silver boa because it is (2) and the first specimen found was climbing a (3) palm tree (棕榈树) . The team was led by Dr. Graham Reynolds, from Harvard University, the scientist confirmed the snake was a previously unknown species after (4) of tissue samples. New species of snakes, however, are much rarer.
