The library is a rich learning resource available to all students. We also welcome scholars from around the world who wish to consult our impressive collections. In practical terms, the library is divided between the Working Library and the Old Library. The Working Library houses an extensive collection of books and journals covering all areas and additional research materials in many subjects. The Old Library contains the college’s large collection of manuscripts, early printed books, and other rare materials. Part of the library’s mission is to develop its collections to reflect new departures in teaching and lea rn ing, and to respond to the introduction of new subjects.
