The dangers of exercising too much Hostess: Welcome to the weekly program: “Health Matters”. We all know how important exercise is for our health. However, it′s equally important that you don′t go too far. We took to the street to find people who have had to reduce the amount for exercise they do. First of all, we met 20-year-lod Richard, who started going to the gym when his parents bought him a membership. Richard: I went to the gym every day after school and worded out for hours ! However, after a few months I noticed that my clothes didn′t fit me anymore. I was putting on weight. And then I realized more exercise was making me hungry! The more exercise, the more I ate. Hostess: Penny is a 35-year-old mother of two. She started exercising after she′d had two children. Penny: I′d put on a bit of baby weight, and I wanted to lose it. So I started working out, and I think I got addicted to it. I was always worrying about my workout schedule. My children stared to say, “Mommy, where are you? What are you doing now? We never see you anymore ! ” It was then I realized I′d gone too far. Ho stess: Marco, 45, recently stopped exercising so much when he found the couldn′t sleep. Marco: I was awake for hours every night. My body was full of adrenalin with all the exercise! I felt down and I had headaches because I was always tired.
