The craftsman What is the craftsman? The craftsman persistently does and perfects one simple and often repetitious work for a very long time, or even a whole life. Their efforts may seem to be worthless for very often the work they do can be done by machines more easily and quickly. The famous American folklore legend of John Henry, the "steel-driving man", is a great example. He races with the steam drill and won the race, but there he lied while the steam drill stands still, ready for its next test. Yet this is not the end of "John Henry".
