Researchers at the University of California of San Diego report that people were more accurate at noticing a flash of light when a sound was produced at the same place immediately before the light flashed. “We used a loud sound to catch our participants’（受试者）attention” one of the study’s authors, Dr McDonald， said in an article.  During some experiments， the sound occurred at the same location as the flash of light，while at other times it was produced on the opposite side of participants’ field of sight.
