M: I know it's the largest country in the Western Hemisphere and the second-largest country in the world. F: Do you know how many provinces are there in Canada? M: I've no idea. F: Then do remember, Canada is a self-governing confederation composed of 10 provinces and two territories. It is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. Ottawa, Ontario, is the capital city and the seat of the federal government. Do you know where do the majority of Canadians come from? M: Perhaps Britain and France? I know you have two official languages. All government and legal business is conducted in both languages. F: That's right. But the English-speaking population is larger than the French and is distributed throughout all Canada.
