Hot chips are unhealthy because they contain harmful ingredients, such as saturated fats and sodium, which in high volume have been linked with high blood pressure and even diabetes. The American Diabetes Association suggests the following: “to lower you risk of heart disease, try to eat less of the unhealthy fats – saturated and trans fat.” Additionally, “decreasing the amount of sodium in the diet can help many people lower their blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure also means you are decreasing your risk for heart attack or stroke, both of which are common diabetes complications” (from diabetes.org).
