Concorde SST The most impressive aircraft f the jet age was the supersonic transport aircraft, Concorde. This aircraft flew faster than the speed of sound and allowed three hour flights between New York and Paris. This supersonic aircraft wold fly at speeds of close to 2,200 km/h and carry in comfort anywhere from 92 to 100 passengers and 9 crewmembers. The concorde program came to an end in 2010 due to a major accident with the airplane and the changes in passenger demand. To keep the Concorde flying was too costly. Sadly, the aircraft were all retired.
