The S tart of M y P assion for F ootball One summer morning, my cousin Eddie asked me if I wanted to play football with some of his friends. He got mad because I gave him a confused look, and said I didn’t know how to play. Then he told me I had to learn the rules first. A couple of minutes later, he went into his room and pulled out an old videotape, so for the rest of the morning we sat down and watched all the videos as he explained all the rules of the game. I picked up really quickly. I understood the game at that point , but I just needed to learn the fundamentals( 基本法则 ) of football such as catching , throwing, and how to run with the ball! After we watched the videos, he took me outside and we threw the ball around. He liked the way I threw the ball, and told me that I had a big chance at being a quarterback( 美式足球的四分卫 ) ! T wo days later, his friends called him and told him that it’s time to play. We played that day and ended up until we couldn’t see the ball anymore. I was exhausted when we finished playing. Since that day, I knew football was my passion! I love the game so much that I still play it today, and till this day, I still thank my cousin for getting me into the game of football!
