Job boards, job search engine sites, and other job sites are helpful for your job search. Job boards are sites that post jobs submitted by employers. Typically, the employers pay a fee to post their job listings. Monster is the largest and most well-known general job board. The benefit of job boards is that companies list their open positions, so you know the jobs are available. Some companies only hire candidates that apply through the job boards they work with. The drawback, however, is that job boards often contain fewer listings than job search engines. Job search engines collect job listings from job boards and company websites. Two of the largest and most popular job search engines are Indeed and SimplyHired, which both have millions of listings at any time. The benefit of job search engines is that there are listings from multiple sources, so you can see more job openings than on a job board. One downside is that not all of the postings are up to date, so you may have to double check that listings are not expired. Some jobs are also posted multiple times, so you have to watch out for double-postings. If you know what company you want to work for, check out their company website for cur-rent job openings. Company websites typically have a “Careers” or “Jobs” section that lists any lists any job openings. Some larger companies allow you to search for job openings by keyword, location, and more. Often, you can even apply for these jobs directly on the website
