A letter from hospital Hi Dave, I just wanted to say that l I’m in hospital again. I know you always say free running is dangerous. But this time I’m not alone. Dad is here with me in the next bed. He decided he was not too old to start free running but didn't realize how much training goes into getting fit Dad thought, "What Ann can do, I can do” and went into the park with me. Well, I thought I would start with easy jumps. Easy when you have been doing it for four years but not so easy when it is your first time. Anyway, Dad fell but managed to roll over and didn't hurt himself– too badly. Then I decided to jump from one low wall to the other, also not difficult, just a matter of timing. And this is where things went wrong for Dad. He fell as he was landing on the second wall and broke his right leg and right arm. Well, I didn't have my mobile phone with me so I had to run home to phone an ambulance. I didn't wait for the traffic lights to turn green and a car ran into me, breaking both my legs. Write soon.
